Installation Guide

Download the installer

Click the download button above and save the installer to your computer (.exe for Windows, .dmg for Mac).

Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded file to install. No terminal window will open. No admin rights needed. The app installs silently in seconds.

Sign in to your account

After installation, the app asks for your Interview AI Buddy credentials. Sign in or create a free account — 7-day trial starts immediately.

Position the overlay & set hotkey

Drag the answer overlay to a comfortable spot on your screen. Use Ctrl+Shift+H (or Cmd+Shift+H on Mac) to instantly show/hide the overlay at any time.

Start your interview

Click "Start Listening" before your interview. The AI detects questions automatically and delivers structured answers in ~95ms. No popups, no flash, no interruptions.

About Windows SmartScreen

Windows SmartScreen may show a one-time warning because the installer is new and building reputation. The app is digitally signed and SHA-256 verified. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to proceed. This warning disappears after enough users install the app. We are actively working on EV code signing to eliminate this completely.

Mac Users — Audio Setup

On macOS, Interview AI Buddy uses BlackHole (free, open-source) for virtual audio routing instead of VB-Cable. The .dmg is Apple notarized — no Gatekeeper warnings. Supports both Intel and Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) natively.
