VB-Cable is a free virtual audio driver that creates a software audio cable on your computer. Interview AI Buddy needs it to capture the audio from your meeting application (Zoom, Teams, etc.) so it can hear the interviewer's questions. Without it, the app can only use your microphone, which would pick up your own voice rather than the interviewer's. VB-Cable is safe, widely used, and takes under 2 minutes to install.

After your 7-day free trial, you can choose a Starter plan ($15/mo) or Pro plan ($29/mo) to continue using Interview AI Buddy. If you don't subscribe, you simply lose access to the AI features. No charges are made unless you explicitly choose a plan. Annual billing is also available at a 20% discount.

No. Interview AI Buddy only displays text on your screen in a transparent overlay. There is no audio output from the AI. It does not play sounds, use text-to-speech, or produce any audible signal. The only person who sees the AI suggestions is you.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Dashboard. Go to Settings > Subscription and click "Cancel Plan." Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Absolutely. Audio is processed in real-time and never stored on our servers. Interview transcripts and AI responses are not logged or saved after your session ends. We do not sell or share any user data. Your interview content stays completely ephemeral.

The app uses minimal CPU and memory — no terminal window, no console, no flash — so it won't slow down your computer during interviews.
